How to access UA institutions at no charge
Urban Advantage Summer Access Information Sheet
If you follow the timings below, you may visit UA institutions for free without a UA voucher! During July, August and September, and all year, you can gain general admission to UA institutions at no charge. You must in some cases visit at specific times of day, or specific days of the week, or both. Instructions are below.
NOTE: The days/times below provide access to free general admission only.
You will be charged for special exhibits or events.
American Museum of Natural History:
General admission is a suggested donation.
General admission is “pay what you wish” on Wednesdays.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden:
BBG offers entrance free of charge between 8am and 12pm on Fridays.
New York Aquarium:
General admission is “pay what you wish” after 3pm on Fridays.
New York Hall of Science:
NYSCI has free admission on Fridays between 2pm and 5pm and on Sundays between 10am and 11am.
New York Botanical Garden:
Grounds admission is free to everyone all day on Wednesdays and from 9 a.m.–10 a.m. on Saturdays.
Staten Island Zoo:
General admission is by donation after 2pm on Wednesdays.
Queens Botanical Garden:
General admission is free on Wednesdays from 3pm-6pm and Sundays from 9am-11am. *Free hours ar suspended on festival days.
