UA EXPO 2023

American Museum of Natural History

Urban Advantage celebrates our year of science learning with the annual Urban Advantage EXPO, hosted by the American Museum of Natural History. At this event, UA students and teachers share their work, and their families join us in recognizing their students’ accomplishments. We typically attract about 3,000 UA attendees and all Museum visitors are welcome to visit the EXPO events as well.

This year, UA is starting on a journey of encouraging the connection between student science learning and their communities: school, neighborhood, and home; sharing ideas that support culturally sustaining instruction, and making science relevant in our everyday lives. We will be highlighting projects from our schools, and New York City community organizations who support such work will be joining us to share information about their ongoing projects.

Schedule of Events:
9am: Student Set-up
10am: Welcome and Remarks
10:15am-12pm: Student Presentations and Project Viewing
