Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) is an urban oasis where people, plants and cultures are celebrated through inspiring gardens, innovative educational programs and real-world applications of environmental stewardship. Located at the northeast corner of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Flushing, QBG has become a 39-acre oasis in one of New York City’s most bustling and diverse neighborhoods.

  • Students can use the gardens as sources of inspiration to come up with wonderings and questions to investigate
  • Our farm and compost demonstration site is a wonderful place to learn more about the science of composting and decomposition
  • Students can explore concepts related to energy and sustainability by following our “Green Trail”
  • Students can conduct field investigations in our crab apple orchard, open meadow, deciduous conifer forest and other areas throughout the garden
