UA Family Science Festival

Live on Zoom!

This year, in lieu of our annual city-wide science EXPO, Urban Advantage is hosting its first ever Virtual Family Science Festival! There will be two different ways for UA families to participate in this fully online event:

Live on Zoom!

UA Partners will host a variety of live, interactive science activities over the course of three days including behind the scenes tours, interviews with real scientists from UA institutions, live dissections, science trivia, and more! Families will join using a single zoom link, and be directed to the session of their choice. Partners will offer ~3 activities per hour, with each activity lasting ~45 minutes. For details, please see the digital flyer that was sent to your schools or check the UA Administrator, Teacher, and PC Forums. We hope to see you there!

At Your Own Pace on Gather.Town!

For families who are unable to join the live sessions, or who want to explore additional science activities, an asynchronous event will take place the following week from Thursday June 17th-Thursday June 24th. There will be a welcoming event for families on June 17th at 7pm. Information for accessing the event and how to navigate the space can be found in a digital flyer sent to your school, and on the UA Administrator, Teacher, and PC Forums.

Check if your school participates in Urban Advantage.
