    Class Trips

    Thank you for your interest in visiting! Teachers can redeem their class trip voucher for a self-guided Zoo visit, in-Zoo education program, or a Traveling Zoo program.

    Self-guided Zoo visit: Go to this page http://www.statenislandzoo.org/urban-advantage/ and click the button for “UA Class Trip & School Community Trip Registration” to complete the reservation form.

    In-Zoo education programs: Reservations and program topic selection can be made online at http://www.statenislandzoo.org/education/in-zoo-school-programs/.

    *Please note:

    ● Programs MUST be booked 4 weeks in advance.

    ● When booking your experience with us you will be required to upload a copy of your voucher (can be a digital copy or a picture of a hard copy). We MUST receive a copy of your voucher in order to finalize your registration.

    ● Teachers can inquire about utilizing in-Zoo time, and the Zoo’s diverse animal ambassadors, to meet specific curriculum goals or objectives by emailing the Zoo’s UA Partner Team at [email protected] in advance of the program.

    • Class Trip vouchers are for UA-participating science teachers to bring only the students they teach on up to two trips per school year.

    • Class trip vouchers expire on May 31st.

    • UA school groups can visit UA institutions and book online (virtual) class programs.

    • Class Trip Redeem Codes (Voucher ID) must be presented at the time you book your reservation.

    • Each voucher admits 40 people.

    School Community

    Thank you for your interest in visiting! Parent Coordinators can redeem their School Community Trip voucher for either an in-Zoo self-guided trip or for the Zoo’s Virtual Conservation Near & Far events.

    ● To be redirected to the correct reservation form please click the button under the option “UA Class Trip & School Community Trip Registration”

    ● You will be required to provide relevant information, including uploading a copy of your voucher (can be a digital copy or a picture of a hard copy) in order to complete your registration.

    ● Once your form has been submitted you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for how to enter the zoo on the date of your visit.



    *Please provide an email address that you check regularly so you can easily access your confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email please check your spam folder!

    The student must be present to redeem a "Student +3" voucher, and cannot be during school hours. Only students at UA schools will receive vouchers.

As New York’s “Biggest Little Zoo”, the Staten Island Zoo showcases more than 1,200 animals nestled in a beautiful 8-acre park, reflecting more than 350 species of animals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates from six of the world’s seven continents. As an AZA accredited member, the Zoo remains a leader in wildlife conservation, maintaining more than 70 endangered or threatened species and participating in breeding programs and education to highlight the plight of vanishing wildlife throughout the world.
